The Dangers in My Heart anime movie has officially been confirmed for production. This exciting announcement was made through a special promotional video during the Fan Appreciation event held on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Norio Sakurai, the original creator, has also contributed a congratulatory illustration to celebrate this development.
The upcoming anime movie, The Dangers in My Heart, will be a uniquely edited version of the TV series, featuring new scenes with the characters Ichikawa and Yamada. The original anime adaptation aired 12 episodes from April to June 2023.
A second season followed, which delivered 13 additional episodes from January to March 2024. This series adapts Norio Sakurai’s romantic comedy manga of the same name, serialized in Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross magazine, with a total of 10 tankobon volumes released so far.

On Sunday, September 29, 2024, the official staff hosted a Fan Appreciation event at Shinjuku Wald 9, Tokyo, for the “Retrospective Screening”of the show. During this event, the production of The Dangers in My Heart anime movie was announced alongside a promotional video. However, no specific release details for the film were revealed at this time.
The promotional video showcases heartfelt moments between Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada, highlighting their romantic chemistry as Kyotaro confesses his feelings to Yamada in their classroom. Fans can find the video shared across the anime’s official website and X (formerly Twitter) account.
Importantly, The Dangers in My Heart movie will be an edited adaptation of the original television series produced by Shin-Ei Animation, with new scenes depicting the continuation of Ichikawa and Yamada’s story following the series finale.
