Antec Core HS Handheld Launches & It’s Actually Affordable

Antec, the manufacturer of PC cases, has recently released the Antec Core HS handheld, which is priced lower than its predecessor.

In May 2024, Antec revealed its highly anticipated Core HS gaming handheld. This device was the product of a recent collaboration between Antec, a prominent PC manufacturer, and Ayaneo, a boutique handheld company.

Upon first glance, the Antec Core HS handheld appears to have a similar form factor to the Ayaneo Slide handheld. However, unlike the Ayaneo Slide, the Core HS is more affordable, starting at $499.

The Antec Core HS and the Ayaneo Slide have many similarities. Both devices have a sliding screen and a mini-keyboard, and they also share the same AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor.

Despite initially releasing the Slide at a starting price of $699, Ayaneo has now launched the Core HS at a lower price point of $499. This brand-new handheld, available through select retailers, comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

In honor of the launch of their latest handheld device, Antec is offering a special ‘Launch Promotion Bundle’ on their online store. Although this bundle may have a slightly higher price point of $699, it includes more than just the Core HS, making it a worthwhile investment.

The package consists of a Core HS carrying case, tempered glass screen protector, “performance thumbsticks,”and a multi-docking station.

Although you can choose between the “Bright Black” or “Sunrise White” color options, the bundle comes with the 32 GB RAM version of the handheld, which also offers 2TB of storage for downloading all your favorite games.

The Core HS handheld is available in both 16GB and 32GB versions, and comes with hall sensing sticks, a 6-inch 1080p IPSS display, and LPDDR5X memory.

The handheld device based on Windows also includes a 46.2 Wh battery, a slot for a microSD card, and support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth.

It is evident that the Core HS is built upon an Ayaneo device, as it also utilizes Ayaneo’s preferred management software, AYASpace 2.
