Anthony Joshua reveals “fuel” that would motivate him in Tyson Fury fight

Anthony Joshua has disclosed that he has kept all of the insults he has received from heavyweight opponent Tyson Fury and intends to use them as motivation if they ever face each other in the boxing ring.

Despite both holding world title belts for the past eight-and-a-half years, the British rivals have yet to materialize a highly anticipated showdown between them.

Despite previous obstacles, Saudi boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh has successfully brought Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn and Fury’s promoter Frank Warren together to collaborate on shows. As a result, a highly anticipated fight between the two is now closer than ever before.

Next month in Saudi Arabia, Fury will face Oleksandr Usyk in a highly anticipated match that will determine the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. This fight will see Fury unify his WBC belt with Usyk’s WBA, IBF, and WBO straps.

Joshua will be hoping to face the winner of the bout, as he has previously lost twice to Usyk. However, British fight fans are rooting for Fury to come out on top, as it would potentially lead to the most significant British fight in history.

If that were to happen, Joshua has made it clear during an interview on the Jonathan Ross Show that he has no intention of forgetting any of the insults Fury has directed towards him in the past.

“Absolutely,”Joshua responded when questioned about how he handles trash talk. “It affects me deeply and I often reflect on it, using it as motivation to prove them wrong.”

When asked about his reaction to Fury’s calling him a “silly sausage”, Joshua responded, “What do you think I felt?”

“This individual is one of my competitors, someone I aspire to challenge in the future. I have taken note of everything they have said and stored it in my memory, using it as motivation for when we eventually face off.”
