On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the official team behind the Anyway, I’m Falling in Love With You anime revealed the show’s inaugural promotional video and key visual. The anime also announced details about the main production staff and additional cast members. This romantic comedy anime is set to debut in January 2025.

Produced by Typhoon Graphics, Anyway, I’m Falling in Love With You is an adaptation of Haruka Mitsui’s renowned romantic comedy manga series. The series has been serialized in Kodansha’s shoujo manga magazine, Nakayoshi, since November 2020, and nine tankobon volumes have been published to date.

The official website and X (formerly Twitter) profile for Anyway, I’m Falling in Love With You shared the first promotional video on October 2, 2024. The brief clip confirmed that the anime is scheduled to air in January 2025 on TBS and BS11 channels in Japan.

Before its official premiere, the anime will host an advance screening on November 17, 2024, at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo, featuring appearances from five main voice cast members.

The latest trailer showcases Mizuho Nishino’s daily life, highlighting her walk to school alongside her childhood friends—Kizuki, Shugo, Airu, and Shin. Mizuho radiates confidence, embracing her natural look without the use of makeup. The clip poignantly illustrates how the relationships among the five friends evolve after Kizuki confesses his feelings for Miho.

Alongside the trailer, the official staff unveiled the first key visual for Anyway, I’m Falling in Love With You, featuring Mizuho Nishino and her four childhood friends—Kizuki Hazawa, Airu Izumi, Shuugo Hoshikawa, and Shin Kashiwagi—sitting together on a breakwater near the shore.

The anime’s staff also announced new cast members including Yuto Uemura, who voices Ryosuke Saito, a senior in the swimming club that Mizuho admires, and Azusa Tadokoro, who plays Chika Kurashiki, one of Mizuho’s close friends.

The main cast features Sakura Shinfuku as Mizuho Nishino, Sion Yoshitaka as Shin Kashiwagi, Kazuki Ura as Kizuki Hazawa, Shoya Chiba as Airu Izumi, and Satoshi Inomata as Shugo Hoshikawa.

Directed by Junichi Yamamoto at Typhoon Graphics studios, the anime’s scripts are supervised and composed by Yu Murai and Nagisa Nario. Character designs are handled by Io Shiiba, with Katsuzo Hirata and Suzuna Okuyama credited as sub-character designers. The musical score is composed by Keiji Inai.

Based on Haruka Mitsui’s manga, Anyway, I’m Falling in Love With You follows a school friendship narrative, focusing on the romantic developments between Mizuho Nishino and her four childhood friends.

Mizuho’s seventeenth birthday turns into a disappointing event, as her parents forget the occasion, and the upperclassman she has feelings for doesn’t reciprocate. However, everything shifts dramatically when she receives an unexpected confession from her childhood friend, Kizuki.
