Apex Legends Players Express Frustration with New E-District Map

Respawn’s latest addition to Apex Legends Season 22, the E-District map, has received positive feedback from players for its unique art style and revamped location. However, some have expressed disappointment with the limited loot available.

According to reports from players, there has been a lack of ground loot, resulting in their initial drop location only providing a level 1 backpack and possibly a gun with a small amount of ammo.

One Reddit user expressed frustration over the scarcity of items in a thread, stating that they had been constantly moving from one spot to another in search of a basic loadout, only to find a single ammo or attachment spawn in areas that appeared to have more loot.

Another user commented that the vibes were great but the loot could be improved.

In this update and Season 21, Respawn has made adjustments to the loot spawn mechanic. The previous season ensured that players would always find a weapon in a loot bin, while Season 22 introduced loot bin resets that replenish all locations with more powerful guns during the middle of matches.

Despite their efforts, these mechanics do not appear to be very effective on the new map due to its large size and lack of ground loot.

“I find it absurd that while playing solo in public matches, almost every teammate who spoke up was only doing so to complain about the lack of good loot.”

According to another Reddit user’s comment on a separate discussion, the loot on this enormous map is the worst compared to all the other maps. They constantly struggle with running out of ammo or being unable to locate healing items.

For the next few days, players will have to deal with the lack of loot as E-District will continue to be the only map available for casual matches until August 12 and for ranked matches until August 9.

As of writing, Respawn has not responded to the criticism regarding the lack of loot. However, it is possible that they may address the issue by hotfixing the loot spawn rate in the near future or in the next patch.
