Mirage has received a significant nerf in Apex Legends Season 22, which is due to the addition of health bars above enemies.
In recent years, numerous Apex Legends enthusiasts have expressed their desire for a game-changing update to tackle significant issues in the battle royale. Luckily, Season 22 has partially satisfied that craving.
The seasonal update not only introduced a new map called E-District, but also brought about a much-needed nerf to aim assist and a rework of certain legend abilities. As an example, Crypto can now become fully invisible and undetectable while using his drone.
Despite not receiving any official changes in the new patch, Mirage’s Life of the Party ultimate has been quietly weakened. This is due to the addition of Battle Sense health bars that now appear above players.
As demonstrated by JHallballer0 in their tweet (https://x.com/JHallballer0/status/1821214709372350486), Mirage’s ultimate ability reveals the real Mirage through their health bar when they are joined by a group of decoys. Shooting the fake Mirages will cause them to disappear, making the real Mirage easy to identify as they stand out among the decoys, according to the player.

“Even though I don’t main Mirage and I don’t particularly enjoy facing a skilled one during his ultimate, I have to agree that it’s unfair,”one fan expressed. “This only adds to the argument that Battle Sense is a flawed aspect of the game,”another chimed in.
Despite arguments that the health bar does not require attention as it aligns with the traditional style of Mirage, one person questioned its significance. They questioned, “Why does the health bar hold importance when the damage numbers, which have been present since the game’s release, also indicate which Mirage is real?”
“Another individual argued that the lack of a health bar on the decoys was logical, as they were designed to deceive and mislead.”
It is yet to be determined if Respawn will take any action on their own to address it.
