Apex Legends Season 23 Release Date and Details: Everything We Know

Apex Legends Season 23 Release Date and Details: Everything We Know

The upcoming season of Apex Legends, which will be the 23rd installment, signals a noteworthy update as Respawn’s popular battle royale venture continues into its sixth year since launch.

Since its unexpected debut in February 2019, Respawn Entertainment has been consistently delivering fresh content for Apex Legends. Now, five years later, players have enjoyed more than 20 seasons filled with new Legends, weapons, maps, and other exciting developments in the fast-paced battle royale.

Here’s a rundown of what you can anticipate from Season 23 of Apex Legends, along with its launch date.

What is the release date for Apex Legends Season 23?

Mark your calendars: Apex Legends Season 23 is set to launch on November 5, 2024, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST. This date aligns with the conclusion of the current Season 22 battle pass, as the new season typically kicks off immediately following this.

While there’s a chance of a possible delay—something that has occurred in the past—players should be ready to jump into the action on Tuesday, November 5.

Anticipated features of Season 23

Although specific details from the developers are still under wraps as we approach the release, we can make educated guesses based on previous seasons.

First off, it’s a given that a new battle pass will be introduced. The structure now features two parts to each season, one for each split, and the battle pass will include 60 levels this time instead of the usual 110.

This adjustment, implemented in Season 22, allows players to earn double the Battle Pass rewards throughout the season, while still retaining the ability to advance from levels 60 to 100 to enhance their Battle Pass badges. Additional rewards have been included, and less popular rewards have been phased out.

Is a new Legend on the way?

While there’s no official confirmation yet, it’s reasonable to expect that a new Legend could be introduced, especially considering that Season 22 did not feature one.

Currently, there are 26 Legends available in Apex, which is why the developers have opted to slow down the pace of adding new characters to avoid an overly crowded roster.

At this point, we cannot definitively say if a new Legend will join the ranks, but it is safe to say that a new map is not on the horizon.

What about a new map?

Given that Season 22 unveiled the night-themed E-District map, it’s unlikely another brand-new map will debut this season.

Instead, players can anticipate updates to existing maps, a typical approach from Respawn in lieu of introducing a completely new arena. We may also see smaller arenas added for specific Mixtape modes.

E-District has brought a cyberpunk-themed night ambiance to the game.

That sums up everything we know about Season 23 thus far. Be sure to check out the patch notes for Season 22 to catch up on last season’s changes. For additional insights, find out how to track the number of Apex Packs you’ve opened, as well as the current legend pick rates.
