On Sunday, June 23, 2024, Micro Magazine revealed that they will be adapting Fefu Kazuno’s dark fantasy light novel series, Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra, into a television anime. In addition to the announcement, a teaser promotional video was released, along with a statement from the original author and other details.
Fefu Kazuno initially published the Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra as a web novel series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, featuring Jun’s illustrations. The rights were later acquired by Micro Magazine and the novels were released under the GC Novels imprint. Recently, Cross Infinite World has obtained the license to publish the novels in English.
The series has also been adapted into a manga, featuring illustrations by Yasaiko Midorihana. The English version of the manga is published by Yen Press.
Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: Anime Adaptation Announced with Teaser Trailer
On Sunday, June 23, 2024, Micro Magazine released a promotional video on its official YouTube channel announcing that the dark fantasy light novel series Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra, written by Fefu Kazuno, will be adapted into a TV anime titled Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin.
The brief video features a compilation of lines from the original Japanese light novel series and showcases the main characters, such as Takuto Ira and Ato. Interestingly, the teaser promotional video utilizes the cover illustration of the first volume of the light novel. Unfortunately, the PV does not disclose any specific information, such as the release date, cast, staff, or production studios.
Besides the PV, Fefu Kazuno, the author, has also expressed their excitement about the news of their light novels being adapted into an anime on their official X handle (@Fehu_apkgm). Fefu-san eagerly anticipates seeing the movements of the characters and how the anime will portray the crucial scenes.
In addition to Fefu Kazuno, the manga adaptation’s illustrator, Yasaiko Midorihana, has also contributed drawn illustrations to commemorate the anime adaptation. These illustrations feature the protagonists, Takuto Ira and Ato. Further details about the anime are expected to be announced in the future.
About the Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra series
The story of the Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra centers around Takuto Ira, a boy who falls ill at a young age and is reborn into a fantasy world resembling the turn-based strategy game, Eternal Nations.
Ikuto not only finds himself reincarnated in his beloved game, but he also discovers that he now possesses the power to rule over the sinister civilization of Mynoghra as their God. Upon meeting Ato, the stunning hero unit of Mynoghra known as the Sludge Witch, Takuto sets out on a journey with her to revive the civilization.
As he embarks on his journey as the ultimate ruler, Takuto Ira follows the strategy of “Explore, Expand, Exploit, and Exterminate”. The series is undoubtedly filled with dark fantasy themes and tropes.
