On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, CyberAgent and Cygames Pictures released a teaser visual and announcement PV to reveal their collaboration on the production of the original television anime project, Apocalypse Hotel. The highly-anticipated anime is scheduled to air in 2025.
Additional information about the anime’s synopsis and the opening theme song has also been unveiled. The highly-regarded studio, Cygames Pictures, has previously created the popular Brave Bang Bravern! anime, which first aired on January 11, 2024. The studio is currently responsible for the production of the upcoming Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray anime.
The Apocalypse Hotel Anime Premieres in 2025
On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the official YouTube channel of CyberAgent anime released an announcement PV to officially announce the production of Apocalypse Hotel. This original TV anime project is a collaboration between CygamesPictures and CyberAgent.
According to the teaser promotional video, the Apocalypse Hotel anime is set to be released in 2025. However, a specific release date has not been revealed yet. In response to the announcement, the official staff has launched a new website and X (previously known as Twitter) handle for the anime, where they have shared a PV and a teaser visual.
The image portrays a post-apocalyptic world, showcasing destroyed buildings in every direction. In the far distance, a single building stands out, casting light on the desolate landscape. Meanwhile, a young girl stands beside a blossoming cherry tree. Undoubtedly, the illustration generates excitement for the release of the anime.
According to the official website of the Apocalypse Hotel anime, the story takes place in a hotel located in Tokyo’s Ginza district during a time of societal collapse and the disappearance of humanity from Earth. As a result, nature begins to reclaim the land. Further details about the plot will be disclosed at a later time.
Despite the anime’s official staff not disclosing any details about the cast members, it has been revealed that Izumi Takemoto, the mangaka of Teke Teke My Heart and Garden Shimai, is responsible for the character designs in this apocalyptic series.
Meanwhile, Shigeru Murakoshi is overseeing the writing of the series scripts. The anime’s opening theme song, “Skirt,”is being composed by Japanese singer and songwriter, AIKO. A teaser promotional video has been released, offering a glimpse of the song.
Previously mentioned, the anime is being produced by Cygames Pictures, a highly regarded studio known for creating a plethora of successful series such as Brave Bang Bravern!, Princess Connect! Re:Dive, and Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray. With their excellent track record, fans can anticipate that the Apocalypse Hotel anime will receive the same level of quality.
