Apple TV Show Receives Critical Acclaim as Best Series of the Year

Pachinko has received critical acclaim and is considered the top series on Apple TV+ for its exceptional score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series Pachinko on Apple TV+ chronicles Kim Sunja’s struggles as she navigates the challenges of being a Korean immigrant in Japanese society, facing discrimination and trying to find her place in the community.

Despite the colorful opening credits and a realistic portrayal of Korea’s dominance over Japan from 1910 to 1945, Pachinko as a whole has garnered a lot of hype among fans.

This is reflected in the series’ perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, as one critic noted, “[It’s a] show that may only fault in leaving viewers craving for more.”

One more observer remarked, “The grandeur of this drama is both epic and intimate, with superb performances that fully captivate the audience.”

“Another person commented that “Pachinko”is currently one of the top shows to stream and recommended reading the book as well, as they found it to be fantastic.”

The TV series is an adaptation of the book with the same title, and in order to fit into one season, the book’s content has been divided by year.

Min Jin Lee’s novel is divided into three sections, each representing a different period in Sunja’s family history: Book I covers the years 1910 to 1933, Book II spans from 1939 to 1962, and Book III takes place from 1962 to 1989.

While the TV adaptation of Pachinko has deviated from the book’s structure, with its plot jumping from the 1920s to 2021, this has been the case up until now.

Despite this deviation, there is still one fan who remains optimistic about the future of the series. They wrote, “Although it may be unfinished, this is truly an epic story and I eagerly await the next chapter.”

You can now stream Pachinko Season 2 on Apple TV+. While you anticipate the next episode, be sure to also catch the new K-dramas arriving on Netflix, updates on Severance Season 2, and all the latest TV series available for streaming.
