Oshi no Ko season 2 finale reveals Aqua and Ruby’s father murders an actress
In the climactic finale of Oshi no Ko season 2, Aqua and Ruby’s father, Hikaru Kamiki, takes the life of a young and well-known actress by the name of Yura Katayose. While the anime culminates by adapting the 80th chapter of the manga, a post-credits scene introduces viewers to a moment from the following arc, known as the Scandal Arc.
In chapter 109 of Oshi no Ko, the narrative shifts to focus on the talented actress, Yura Katayose, who is about to star in a film produced by Kaburagi Masaya. Tragically, Hikaru Kamiki ends her life before she can realize her aspirations.
Hikaru disguises his true intentions by befriending Yura, acting as a drinking companion at a local bar where she confides in him. During one of their conversations, Yura expresses her desire to hike alone after becoming enamored with the activity. She mentions she has gone on multiple hikes and plans to embark on another adventure soon.
Shortly after this exchange, Hikaru ominously warns Yura to be cautious during her mountain hike, suggesting that if anything were to go wrong, finding her would take a considerable time. The scene transitions to the day of her hike, showing the actress bleeding to death on a mountain.
Present at the scene, Hikaru sadistically reinforces his previous warning, reminding her to watch her step during the hike. This revelation underscores that he was never genuinely her friend, having befriended her solely for the purpose of murder. In her final moments, Yura confronts Hikaru, calling him a “murderer.”
This chilling scene highlights that Hikaru not only played a role in the deaths of Gorou Amamiya and Ai Hoshino but has also been responsible for the untimely demise of various women within the entertainment industry. Although there is much yet to uncover regarding Aqua and Ruby’s father, fans are advised to approach the subject carefully to avoid spoilers.
