In the coming months, Aqua Timez intends to honor their 20th year as a band by hosting a live concert in August of next year, where they will also debut a new track for their devoted fans. After these festivities, the group will once again go their separate ways.
“We are excited to reunite and celebrate this significant milestone with our fans,”expressed a member of Aqua Timez. “It’s a special occasion for us to revisit our music and memories together.”
People around the world are eagerly awaiting Aqua Timez’s reunion and the upcoming events that will celebrate their lasting impact on Japanese rock music.
Despite their success with popular songs such as ‘Ketsui no Asa ni’ and ‘Sen no Yoru wo Koete,’ Aqua Timez has recently announced their plans to disband at the end of this year.
On their official website, each member shared their thoughts. Futoshi, the vocalist, specifically reflected on their musical journey and highlighted their unity despite having different musical styles.
According to TASSHI, the drummer, the completion of their latest album ‘Nijuurasen no Masayume’ left them feeling drained of their creative energy. This realization ultimately led to the decision that Aqua Timez could not continue their activities at the same level.
The band intends to express their gratitude to their fans by organizing a concert following the conclusion of their ‘Present is a Present tour 2018’ in September. Aqua Timez, established in 2003, rose to fame with the release of their first major album ‘Nanairo no Rakugaki’ in 2006.
