Are there shiny Pals in Palworld?
No, Palworld does not have shiny in the traditional sense. Instead, players will encounter rare variations of Pals called Lucky Pals. Rather than the classic color change of the shiny system, Lucky Pals are larger than their counterparts, but also more powerful.
Speaking to DoT Esports, Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe explained some of the features of Lucky Pals for DoT Esports:
Lucky Pals “are more ferocious than regular Pals” and are also much larger than their regular counterparts. You will also hear and see sparkling sound effects when you are near a lucky Pal.
As with shiny Pokémon, you’ll need to be prepared to do a lot of exploring as these creatures are particularly rare.
Moreover, the interest of the lucky Pal goes well beyond aesthetics. The latter have powerful skills, which make them formidable fighters.
