Ariana Grande shares thoughts on “devastating” Quiet on Set allegations

Following the release of the controversial documentary Quiet on Set, Ariana Grande has finally spoken out and addressed the “devastating” accusations several months later.

Despite ID’s focus on the child sex offenders employed by Nickelodeon during the 00s, such as dialogue coach Brian Peck, it also alleged that Dan Schneider included inappropriate skits in several of his popular TV shows.

Prior to establishing herself as a pop sensation, Grande gained recognition for her roles in Victorious and Sam & Cat. With Quiet on Set, there was a renewed emphasis on avoiding scenes that were deemed inappropriate for a teenage actress.

The actress from Wicked has recently responded to the multiple accusations made by her fellow co-stars, revealing on Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast that she was deeply affected by the experiences they described.

“My relationship with child acting has undoubtedly evolved and continues to do so. I am currently reflecting on my past experiences and reevaluating them,”she explained on the Podcrushed podcast.

In my opinion, for children to participate in acting, it is crucial to create a safe environment. This can be achieved by having therapists available and allowing parents to be present wherever they feel comfortable.

“This requirement should not only apply to kids’ sets, but also to anyone pursuing a career in entertainment or music with a similar level of exposure. The contract should include a stipulation for mandatory therapy sessions, ideally twice or thrice a week.”

In regards to the survivors who shared their stories in Quiet on Set, Grande stated, “It’s difficult to put into words how heartbreaking it is to hear about their experiences. I strongly believe that we need to make the environment a much safer place overall.”

Prior to the release of the docu-series, fans were already sharing compilations from Grande’s time on Victorious, with a newfound awareness and criticism of the potentially inappropriate content for a child actor.

The singer can be seen in various shots putting her toe in her mouth, pouring water on herself, and squeezing a potato with her eyes closed while asking for it to release its juice.

The singer continued to express on the podcast that they believed the defining characteristic of their show was their ability to push the boundaries with their humor. They saw their use of innuendos as a unique and cool aspect of the show.

“Reflecting on the events, I feel like everything happened in a blur and now, upon watching some of the clips, I am surprised and taken aback. I also discovered that some content that did not receive network approval was secretly uploaded onto our website. Knowing this, I can’t help but feel upset about the situation.”

Max now offers Quiet on Set for streaming.
