Summary of Arifureta Season 2

Season 2 of Arifureta opened with the students returning to the castle, bringing the news about Kaori joining Hajime’s party. Meanwhile, Hajime’s group traveled to the Gruen Desert, where they aided a noble in ridding his land of a plague, subsequently venturing into a labyrinth hidden within a volcano. There, they encountered the demon army’s commander, Freid, who heavily wounded Hajime.

Despite Freid’s critical blow, he was forced to retreat after he trapped Hajime’s group inside the volcano. Once they escaped, they arrived at the Sea City of Erisen and reunited Myuu with her mother before continuing to explore a nearby labyrinth.

During their exploration, the team met Liliana, who revealed the dire state of the Empire and sought their assistance. Upon arriving at the Empire, they faced the ninth apostle of Tortus’s god Ehit, Noint, who plotted to destroy the Empire, while Freid advanced with an army of demons.

The party split into two factions to tackle the pressing issues—Yue and her group defeated Freid, while Hajime confronted Noint alone. Inside the castle, Eri emerged as the traitor, using her Necromancer powers to resurrect deceased students as undead soldiers.

Fortunately, Hajime’s team arrived just in time to thwart her plans. After Freid’s return and his challenge to Hajime, the latter effortlessly dismantled Freid’s demon army with a space weapon of his own invention. Following the antagonists’ retreat, the Empire pledged to ally with Hajime, as his party would aid Liliana in discussions with the ruling powers of the Hoelscher Empire.
