Asmongold Claims Destiny’s Permanent Ban Resulted from Twitch Employee Vendetta

In a recent livestream, Asmongold discussed a controversial clip that many believe led to Destiny’s permanent ban from Twitch, coinciding with his own return after a two-week suspension.

Destiny, a former Twitch streamer, faced a permanent ban back in March 2022, which he confirmed shortly after news of the suspension broke.

At that time, Destiny disclosed that Twitch indicated a violation had taken place during his broadcast. They provided him with three potential reasons for the ban.

“They informed me that there was a violation on stream, and the three possible reasons they provided were: using a mix of words and emotes in chat intended to promote racist content, endorsing or glorifying a hate crime,” he explained. “And the third one, which would astonish me if it were true, was ‘advocating for the exclusion of individuals based on their disabilities.’ This can’t be right, can it?”

The exact reason behind his ban remained a mystery until Monday, October 28, when Destiny shared a video clip on Twitter/X that clarified the situation.

The following day, Asmongold returned to Twitch after his brief ban and offered his thoughts on Destiny’s clip.

“I’m in trouble here. I’ve said things far worse than that. This is insane. I’ll probably get banned again,” he joked. “It seems clear that Destiny had a pretty contentious relationship with Twitch. It’s pretty evident that they were just looking for a reason to clip him.”

“Someone had it out for him, plain and simple.”

Since being banned permanently in 2022, Destiny has made numerous attempts to appeal for the reinstatement of his Twitch account.

In November 2023, following Twitch’s announcement of a new process for streamers to appeal account bans, Destiny’s appeal was dismissed in “record time.”

“It took them only an hour to send me the rejection email,” he remarked at the time.

After Destiny’s appeal was turned down, other creators who had faced permanent bans—including JiDion and IShowSpeed—were reinstated.
