Asmongold has addressed HasanAbi’s accusation of him being a “hypocrite”in light of the Ava Tyson allegations.
Despite having previously shared similar views, political streamer Hasan was displeased upon hearing the Twitch star’s criticism of Ava Kris Tyson and labeling her as “weird”for her inappropriate communication with minors.
In addition to facing allegations of “grooming,”the ex-MrBeast staff member has faced criticism for showing support towards a contentious lolicon artist – loli referring to the depiction of underage girls in anime and manga.
As a result, Hasan accused Asmongold of being “hypocritical” in his stance on the situation, arguing that he regularly watches a loli Vtuber who discusses current events in the gamergate community on a daily basis.
Hasan was puzzled by Asmongold’s ability to denounce “This loli sh**’s weird and gross”while simultaneously regularly watching content created by a “loli Vtuber”.
Despite the comments, Asmongold remained unfazed and stated that Hasan had a tendency to exaggerate situations. He added, “I have watched Rev’s videos before, yes.”
He then elaborated that he saw no issue with Rev using an avatar representing a character that had been made younger: “The issue arises when the character is being sexualized.”
From what he had observed, Asmongold affirmed that Rev had never sexualized the avatar in any way and stated that he would deem it unacceptable if it were to occur.
“While it may seem like hypocrisy, Asmongold clarified that he had not mentioned Ava’s controversy with the loli artist in his initial video because he was not aware of who she was.”
Asmongold finalized his reply by affirming his disbelief in Hasan’s statements.
Whenever I view someone’s YouTube content, I do not feel the need to comb through their social media and meticulously check every statement or action they have made in the past to ensure it aligns with my own beliefs and values.
