Asmongold Warns That Starfield Shattered Space Could Be a Concern for Elder Scrolls 6

Twitch star Asmongold has expressed concerns that the newly released Starfield Shattered Space DLC may pose significant challenges for the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6. He noted that the latest title from Bethesda is currently being “outperformed”by the older Fallout 4.

When Bethesda first unveiled Starfield back in 2018, gamers were filled with anticipation. The concept of a Fallout-like experience set in the boundless cosmos sounded like a dream come true.

However, upon its release in 2023, many players felt that the game fell short of expectations. While the story and mission structures offered an engaging experience, the absence of vehicles, the inability to travel freely in your spacecraft, and the prevalence of procedurally generated environments left gamers feeling somewhat disoriented.

As of late September, Bethesda finally launched Shattered Space, the game’s first DLC. Unfortunately, initial feedback has pointed out issues such as the limited length of the storyline and the notion that player decisions lack significant impact.

Asmongold’s perspective is that the underwhelming reception of the DLC foreshadows troubling prospects for future Bethesda releases. “The brand-new expansion only added 5,000 players. That is surprising,” he remarked. “It’s actually being outperformed by Fallout 4.”

He continued, “I mean, maybe I’m overreacting, but the fact that your new game is performing significantly worse than your established title is quite concerning. It raises red flags for the new Elder Scrolls game.”

The popular Twitch streamer further stated, “we’ll see what happens,” but voiced a pessimistic outlook regarding the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls title, suggesting it “will be bad.”

In conclusion, he expressed, “I think it will be bad. I have low expectations, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised.”

Despite Asmongold’s concerns, many fans maintain high hopes for the Elder Scrolls series, especially following the resounding success of Oblivion and Skyrim. We’ll have to wait and see if the lukewarm reception of Starfield will impact future releases.

Additionally, it is worth noting that there is currently no official release date for Elder Scrolls 6.
