Assassin’s Creed’s Smoke Bomb in MTG

In addition to the abundance of formidable new Assassin Creatures available in Universes Beyond: Assassin’s Creed, the set also offers players a valuable assortment of new Artifacts, such as the Smoke Bomb.

The Pieces of Eden are a fundamental aspect of the Assassin’s Creed series. While they may appear to possess mystical abilities, they are in fact technological artifacts of great strength, originating from the precursor Isu civilization.

In Universes Beyond: Assassin’s Creed, the Pieces of Eden have a significant influence on the presence of artifacts. However, in addition to these ancient relics, there are also simple yet useful pieces of equipment.

The efficiency of an Assassin’s job is greatly aided by the tools they possess, including the well-known Hidden Blade and stealth equipment such as the Hunter’s Bow and Smoke Bomb. Today, we will be discussing the latter tool, which has proven to be one of the most thrilling additions to the set due to its adaptability.

The Artifact, Smoke Bomb, can be cast for three generic mana and has the added ability of Flash. This allows it to be played at any time an Instant could be cast, aligning with the item’s sudden-use characteristic.

While on the battlefield, Smoke Bomb grants Shroud to all Creatures. This effect prevents them from being targeted by any player, including their controller.

This defensive technique has the ability to completely disable targeting for all Creatures on the board, making it impossible for reliable sources of removal to be effective.

Upon being cast, the owner of Smoke Bomb must sacrifice it during their upkeep. As a result, any Creature under their control cannot be blocked for the remainder of the turn.

Properly planned, Smoke Bomb can function as a highly effective defense against targeting, while also providing a sudden surge of unstoppable damage that can quickly turn the tide of a game in favor of its wielder.

Despite initial concerns about the Beyond Boosters in the set, Universes Beyond: Assassin’s Creed is still set to launch on July 5 and is shaping up to be a highly anticipated release within the Universes Beyond series.
