Andrew Tate has announced that a Romanian court will be returning $40 million worth of his assets and luxury cars nearly two years after they were initially confiscated.
The social media influencer and his brother, Tristan Tate, were arrested by Romanian authorities on December 29, 2022, as part of a probe into alleged sexual assault and exploitation.
In the wake of their arrest, Romanian officials seized all of Tate’s assets, including his famous orange Bugatti Chiron, which have been in custody ever since.
On October 1, 2024, Andrew Tate revealed that the Bucharest Tribunal Court decided to return his $40 million in assets, citing a “lack of evidence.”
This development follows a raid on Andrew Tate’s residence in Bucharest on August 21, during which authorities conducted investigations related to human trafficking allegations.
A spokesperson for Tate stated: “While the charges outlined in the search warrant remain somewhat unclear, they include suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering.”
“The Bucharest Tribunal Court has just ruled to return my $40,000,000 in assets due to lack of evidence. This includes all my supercars, gold bars, and $3,000,000 in cash. Everything,” Tate declared in a post on X.

Tristan Tate also expressed his gratitude on X, thanking the Romanian judges for their “yet another good call” regarding the return of his assets.
“The judges have demonstrated once again that justice exists here in Romania. All of my vehicles recently seized will be returned in less than 24 hours. I commend them on another positive decision. It’s almost over,” he stated.
The prosecutors may be lying, opportunistic thieves. But the judges have proven once again that justice exists here in Romania. Just two days following the raid, Andrew Tate gave a candid interview where he asserted that he was being “set up.”
“I’ve been nice. I’ve been patient. I’ve played the game. I’ve respected the judiciary. I’ve attended every appointment punctually. But they raided my house again, now claiming there are thirty-five victims. You know, thirty of those girls have provided statements in our defense?” he said.
“This is a set-up. It is absolutely disgusting. Thirty of those girls affirm we have done nothing wrong. Two of them are the mothers of our children, and two have never even been to Romania.”
