The official MANGA Plus website has announced that Astro Royale chapter 9 will be released on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 12 am JST in Weekly Shonen Jump’s 29th issue. However, due to time zone differences, many manga readers will be able to access the chapter earlier on June 16.
In the past events of Astro Royale, the Hibaru faction had ventured to an abandoned mansion in order to capture a group of burglars who possessed ghostly Astro abilities. Unfortunately, Hibaru soon found himself in a dangerous predicament, as both Kuran and Terasu had been overpowered and taken captive.
In the mansion, he eventually encountered Kinpa Yobana who explained that she was there to retrieve stolen goods for her neighbor. As the chapter concluded, fans eagerly anticipate the release of Astro Royale chapter 9.

Upon reaching Asakusa, the Hibaru team notices that the meteor has also impacted Kinshicho. To their surprise, they see Genki Kimoto, a police officer they have encountered before, running towards them. He explains that he is facing a major issue caused by a group of burglars known as the Ghost Thieves, who have recently robbed a bank.
The troubling aspect is that they possess Astro abilities. Genki claims that the Ghost Thieves use an abandoned mansion as their base, rumored to be haunted. Despite requesting reinforcements from headquarters, the officer has yet to receive a response.
Additionally, Genki reveals that the gun has been stolen by the thieves. Hibaru, Terasu, and Kuran reassure him that they will make an effort to apprehend the culprits. Afterward, the chapter depicts the Hibaru faction entering the deserted mansion.
Despite the fear of Hibaru and Terasu, Kuran remains unfazed by the ghostly atmosphere within. Out of nowhere, Terasu becomes aware of a slimy substance dripping from the ceiling. To their terror, they spot a massive mouth leering at them.
As the horrifying figure devours Kuran and inexplicably transforms Terasu into a zombie-like being, chaos ensues. Terrified, Hibaru frantically flees for safety, only to be unexpectedly grabbed by an unseen entity. To his surprise, it is revealed to be Kinpa Yobana, his childhood friend.
Kinpa explains to Hibaru that she has arrived at the mansion to recover stolen possessions for a nearby noblewoman, utilizing her Astro, Crystal Clear Compact. She reassures the young boy that Terasu and Kuran are unharmed. The chapter concludes with Kinpa inviting Hibaru to join her for a temporary retreat.
Chapter 9 of Astro Royale: What to Expect (Speculation)
It is probable that the next chapter of Astro Royale will pick up where the previous events left off, as Hibaru and Kinpa work together to capture the Ghost Thieves and reverse the effects of Kuran and Terasu’s transformation.
Given the events of the previous issue, it is evident that Kinpa has a strategy in mind. Additionally, should Hibaru confront the thieves in chapter 9 of Astro Royale, he will not hesitate to deploy his Astro.
