Asus has formed a partnership with well-known fragrance brand, Anna Sui, to launch a 14-inch laptop that comes with customizable scents.
Asus has a history of creating extravagant collaborations in the tech industry, such as their EVA-02 anime-themed PC and accompanying accessories. However, the company has recently announced a surprising new partnership.
Asus and Anna Sui, two renowned brands in the world of fragrances, have joined forces to launch a new laptop that not only boasts a stylish design, but also emits a pleasant scent.
The upcoming Adol Book 14 Air, known as the ‘Fragrance Edition’, will feature a 14-inch screen and a specially designed fragrance dispenser integrated into the lid. This dispenser, connected magnetically, will be capable of holding three different fragrance sheets.
According to an article from videocardz, the three available scents are Be a New Her, Basil and Mandarin, and Rose of Mans Land, and they are conveniently packaged in small packets that can be easily switched out. The laptop also boasts impressive specs.
The laptop, measuring 14 inches, boasts a 2880×1800 OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and is equipped with 32GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory. Additionally, the laptop features a 75WH battery that can last up to 14 hours and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Even though the laptop’s scents are not derived from any current Ann Sui fragrances, it comes with a 50ml bottle of the brand’s popular ‘Secret Wish’ Eau de Toilette.
Additionally, the laptop boasts a striking lavender design, reminiscent of the eye-catching Anna Sui perfume bottles that the brand is famous for. The delicate butterfly motifs, symbolic of the fragrance brand, can be found throughout the trackpad, chassis, and even the packaging.
Neither Asus nor Anna Sui have publicly announced their unexpected collaboration on any of their English-speaking social media platforms. Currently, to debunk any false speculation, the only option is to purchase it from the Chinese version of the Asus website.
A bundle of the Asus Adol Book 14 Air is now available for pre-order at the price of 6999 RMB ($969). It includes a charming lavender bag, a gaming mouse, and a set of Anna Sui stickers. The shipment is expected to be sent out on August 9, 2024.
