Atomic Heart: Testing Ground #11 [Walk Guide]

Atomic Heart is set in a retro Soviet setting, following an alternate history in which Russia is transformed into a utopian society centered on science and human potential. The game takes place in Object 3826; it is a huge, cloud-soaring countryside suspended by helicopters. Scattered across the grassy hills are quaint cities, massive monuments, and scientific institutions. Eight secret training grounds are hidden in plain sight throughout the facility.

The Test Site is made up of many puzzles linked together, and each one served a specific purpose before all hell broke loose in Facility 3826. Test Site 11 is interesting in that it opens with a key that can be obtained by solving another puzzle in the Test Site .

How to infiltrate Testing Ground #11 in Atomic Heart?

The entrance to Test Site 11 is locked. The disc with the key to this lock is located in the barricaded complex to the northwest of here. Before entering the complex, it would be a good idea to destroy the local HAWK. Players can jump into the area from the top of the derailed train near the south side of the barricade.

Once at the base, go to the house located closest to the southern entrance. It is shown in the above screenshot, right in front of where the P-3 will land after the jump. There is a lock on the door that Charles can pick. Inside you will find a robot laboratory assistant in a black suit.

Deal with him and take the disk with the key from the box in the center of the floor. Bring this key to the entrance to Test Site 11 and open the lock to enter.

What to do at Testing Ground #11?

Agent P-3 exits the elevator into a large room with multiple doorways. The door on the right contains loot; in the rest room in the far corner there are machines to save and improve; another door on the left gives access to a large space filled with four colored spinners.

Clockwise from closest to P-3: blue, yellow, green, and red. The wheel next to the blue top spins all four tops a quarter of a turn; there are two more wheels on this side of the yellow top, one directly above it and one below it.

To start, turn the wheel to position #3. The side of the blue spinning top with the open door now has a platform. Climb onto it and jump onto the next wheel.

The yellow counter is controlled by the wheel on the yellow counter. Set it to position #1 if it is not already set. The wheel on the green meter should be on the floor next to the yellow meter.

To get to the other side of the blue top and then onto the long path of magnets that goes over the fence to the yellow top, reverse the polarity of the magnets on the ceiling with Shock, go through them, and then jump onto the yellow top. Then drop down to the ground level below it.

Go through the door to the other side of the spinning top, turn left and find the elevator. Jump on it, and then reverse the polarity of the magnets on the ceiling again to rise to the surface of the yellow top.

Turn the yellow meter wheel to position #1. Then lower yourself back to ground level. Jump over the boxes to the right of the green top and take the elevator back to the surface.

Rotate the ceiling magnets to reverse their polarity, lowering the elevator next to the green meter. Rotate them again to lift it into place. Then jump onto the platform on the green spinning top and jump over the railing to land on the red spinning top.

To your left is an elevator with several rungs. You don’t need them, but they will help players get up if they fall. Instead, lower the elevator, jump on it, then lift it up to jump over to the doorway in the red top. Then jump to the platform on the left and exit through the door.

Walk down the corridor past the stairs and take the Brass Lutyagin in the door on the right. Then go down the stairs and collect everything in the room on the right. Use the scanner so you don’t miss anything. Stay in the break room further down the corridor, then enter the door in the bulkhead to get to the low temperature lab.

The low temperature laboratory consists of several houses and three boilers. Enemies include frozen test subjects that have been cleverly disguised as frozen test subjects. Agent P-3 can use his favorite weapon to take out these enemies. While looting, don’t miss the chest in the house on the left in the above screenshot.

The first boiler does not ignite. The two cauldrons at the back of the room must be lit to open the large door to the next area. Follow the pipes coming out of each cauldron to find a crate of candles. One of them is on the street, and the other is in a locked house.

To get to the locked house, players must jump onto the platforms closer to the first cauldron and run across the rooftops. They can then jump into the hole in the roof of this house and deal with the two lab robots inside. Once the robots are done, players can open the door and pull a candle through the pipe to light the cauldron.

When both boilers are activated, the bulkhead door will open. Go through it and turn left to bypass the truck, entering another large room. Turn left again, go through the hall to find the Silver Lutyagin.

Return to the large room and loot all filing cabinets. Walk down the corridor that runs along the side of the room and you will find a creeping space. Crawl through it and open the grate on the other side.

The laboratory consists of two parts. To the left is a spinning blue room with four candles (two filled) and a door on the far side. To the right is a similar but smaller room with two candlesticks.

Start by going into the smaller room on the right. Pull the Candle out of the wall and throw it nearby. Then jump over the stopped platform and enter the room to get another Candle from the holder. Take the second candle to the big blue room.

To open the door, drop two candles into the holders on the opposite side of the room. An accurate throw will require some practice, and to throw you need to go into a spinning blue room. When all four holders are full, the door will open.

In the next area you will find treasures and a restroom. Most importantly, in the far left hallway is a room that holds the Golden Lute. Search it and then take the elevator back to the surface. The test site is now ready for use.
