To commemorate this milestone, the series will unveil a new project, with details on whether it will be a manga series, light novel, or something else remaining undisclosed. As anticipated, the fanbase was ecstatic upon hearing this announcement, eagerly speculating about the mysterious new project and sharing their ideas on what it might entail.

Although some fans hoped for the new project to be an alternate ending to the series, others desired for it to revolve around the Great Titan War that occurred after Ymir gained control of her Founding Titan abilities. In contrast, one fan remained practical and suggested that the new project could potentially be a stage play or have no ties to the main storyline.

“What does that mean? Alternate ending?? Will eren be back??”a fan said

“Imagine a prequel series about the Great Titan War”another one said

“It’ll be another stage play, art book or art gallery”another fan said

Final thoughts

It came as no surprise that a single announcement was all it took to reignite the passion of the entire fandom, which had fallen silent since the series’ climax last year. While it is possible that this announcement may not be directly related to the popular manga/anime, it is still exciting to speculate if it could be the long-awaited fulfillment of the fandom’s desires, as not everyone was content with the series’ conclusion.
