On April 3, 2024, Hajime Isayama, the author of Attack on Titan, and Yuki Kaji, the voice actor for Eren Yeager, announced their collaboration on a one-shot manga. This manga will be a spin-off of Kaji’s Soyogi Fractal project, which commemorates his 20th anniversary as a voice actor.

Yuki Kaji, the voice actor for Attack on Titan, has a dream project centered around a character named Soyogi Soyogi. This project utilizes voice synthesis software that is based on the voice of a Seiyuu.

According to Kaji’s statement on the project’s official website, his goal is to develop software that empowers both novice and experienced creators to produce unrestricted and captivating content. The collaboration between Hajime Isayama and the spin-off one-shot manga project has undoubtedly piqued the interest of fans.

It has been announced that the creator of Attack on Titan, Hajime Isayama, and the famous voice actor, Yuki Kaji, are teaming up to create a one-shot manga. The reports reveal that the manga will be based on Kaji’s Soyogi Fractal project, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of his career in voice acting.

Yuki Kaji is responsible for writing the original story, while Isayama is in charge of creating the thumbnail storyboard draft for this one-shot manga. It has been announced that the manga will be published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and Bessatsu Shonen Magazine during the summer of 2024.

Notably, the one-shot manga project is currently holding an audition from Wednesday, April 3, 2024, until April 30, 2024, to find an artist who will bring to life the final artwork for the project, using Isayama’s storyboards as a basis.

The initial five pages of Isayama’s storyboards are now available on the official website, where the audition is currently taking place. Fans of Isayama’s unique art style can compare the one-shot storyboard to his renowned magnum opus.

In addition, the website has shared comments from Hajime Isayama and Yuki Kaji about the project. Kaji has encouraged the artists to seize the chance to collaborate on a project of great significance.

He also shared that he has devoted his life to the Soyogi Fractal project. In doing so, he approached Isayama with the idea and entrusted him with his “first original work.”

Likewise, Hajime Isayama mentioned in his remarks that he had not worked on any manga besides Attack on Titan for approximately 10 years. As a result, he came to the realization of the challenges involved in creating a manga.

Nonetheless, he is content with the fact that he will solely focus on storyboarding the project. This means he can freely create numerous “complex compositions”and delegate them to others. Additional information about the upcoming one-shot manga featuring the Soyogi Fractal is anticipated to be disclosed in the near future.
