ATTRAKT has initiated legal proceedings against Warner Music Korea for allegedly collaborating with former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, and Aran to breach their exclusive contracts.
Audio files released by Dispatch on September 11 revealed derogatory remarks aimed at ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon, alongside discussions about strategies for the members to violate their contracts with ATTRAKT.
These secret meetings included The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il, Warner Music Korea CFO Jin Seung Young, and the aforementioned ex-FIFTY FIFTY members along with their parents.
On September 13, ATTRAKT announced that evidence had been gathered to support the claims of collusion among Warner Music Korea, The Givers, and the former FIFTY FIFTY members.
ATTRAKT also noted that the involved parties had filed a provisional injunction on June 19, 2023, to suspend the effectiveness of their contracts with ATTRAKT.
The agency maintained its position against Warner Music Korea, asserting that the music label had tried to “unlawfully seize”their former artists through financial influence and coercion. ATTRAKT concluded that it is assessing all legal options against the company.
