Auntie Anne’s Pretzel-Scented Fragrance Resells for 4x the Price on eBay

The new Knead fragrance from Auntie Anne’s was so popular with customers that bottles are now being resold on eBay at four times the original price.

On August 14, Auntie Anne’s, a pretzel shop, unveiled a new, one-of-a-kind fragrance that smells like pretzels. The perfume, called ‘Knead’, is suitable for both men and women and is said to contain buttery undertones with a touch of sweetness.

Despite being priced at $25 per 1 oz. bottle on the brand’s website, the fragrance sold out quickly, prompting many online re-sellers to take advantage of the limited availability and profit from it.

Some customers resorted to reselling the Knead perfume on eBay for approximately $100 per bottle, which was four times its original price.

A 1 oz. bottle and Auntie Anne’s tote bag were sold for $175 on August 21, not including the cost of shipping.

Despite the high price, customers on eBay are quickly purchasing the fragrances, believing that they are worth it. However, Auntie Anne’s recently revealed on August 21st that customers can pre-order the limited remaining stock of the Eau de Pretzel perfume, as it sold out quickly during its initial release.

Despite the estimated shipping time exceeding their desires, many customers took to Auntie Anne’s Instagram page to express their excitement after hearing that they would now be able to preorder even after the brand sold out.

One exclaimed, “This is the greatest day of my life!”

“Another person expressed their gratitude for being able to secure a preorder, saying “Just got one! Thank you for offering the preorder.”

Despite this, resellers on eBay are continuing to actively sell their merchandise. After the highly sought-after Stanley beverage tumblers were successfully resold for $300, it is not unexpected to witness a significant increase in the price of Knead on second-hand websites.

After their limited release in August, the plastic McDonald’s collector cups were also spotted online, where they were resold for hundreds of dollars.
