Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender are in uproar following a major change in the design of one of the key characters.
Nearly two decades after its first broadcast, Avatar: The Last Airbender is introduced to a new generation thanks to the latest live-action adaptation from Netflix.
Although the series has already faced some issues since its announcement, such as the shortening of some major arcs for main characters, most fans remain excited to reunite with Aang and his team.
However, a recently published extract from the series has caused outrage among some early viewers, after they noticed a significant change in the conception of one of the series’ major characters.

However, the princess is supposed to manipulate blue flames in the original animated series. This fire also earns its name, and the expert goes so far as to create lightning, the results of long years of training combined with exceptional talent. It’s his signature, and not finding it in the video extracts surprised the community, which did not fail to complain about it on social networks.

“The whole point of the blue fire was that it was even hotter than other firebenders, it was a detail to show how powerful she was despite her young age.”

“Azula’s fire isn’t blue??? / I really hope she gets her blue fire bow that everyone is talking about.”
Mind all of you she’s not even supposed to be in this first season. The very reason Azula comes into play is cos her brother is seen as incompetent/unreliable. So her father tasks her to do Zuko’s job which makes the second book way more intense https://t.co/FdfFJ7eAE4

“Remember, she’s not even supposed to be in this first season. The real reason Azula comes into play is because her brother is seen as incompetent/unreliable. So his father gives him the task for Zuko, which makes the second book much more intense.”
If the video extract may have disappointed some, the Netflix series will be released on February 22. Fans will then be able to get a better idea of the treatment reserved for one of the best antagonists of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
