The adaptation of the Nickelodeon cartoon will have its sequel, and Netflix has seen the big picture for Aang and his friends.
The Avatar: The Last Airbender series has lived up to its audience’s expectations. However, this was not easy, since the streaming platform was committed to adapting an animated classic jealously guarded by its fans. But after the success of One Piece, nothing seems to stop Netflix.
Aang, Katara, Sokka and all the others have clearly convinced the spectators, making the live-action series a hit for the streaming giant: the program has obtained more than 41 million views in just 11 days.
Netflix cultivated the mystery regarding a sequel for a few days, but the question has finally been answered. Yes, there will be a season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender. And more!
Netflix renews Avatar: The Last Airbender for multiple seasons
It’s now official, Avatar: The Last Airbender will be getting two additional seasons. However, nothing was specified regarding the number of episodes, where the first had eight parts. We also don’t know when season 2 will be released.

Netflix’s choice seems to align with the division of the original animated series, which constructed its story into three parts – called “Books” . The first Book is that of Water and takes Aang to the different tribes of the Poles to learn the element concerned. Book 2 focuses on Earth, and Book 3 on Fire.
We can therefore assume that season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender will this time focus on Earth, and its last city still standing, Ba Sing Se. Which, moreover, would agree with the comments of members of the cast, evoking a very popular character and only appearing in Book 2 of the Nickelodeon cartoon.
