The new series Avatar: The Last Airbender ended leaving many questions unanswered. Could blood control appear in a sequel?
Avatar: The Last Airbender has brought a wave of nostalgia to Netflix. The live-action series has indeed taken over the cult Nickelodeon cartoon, and fans seem unanimous about its quality. Yes, the series works, and it even reached first place among the most watched series of the moment on the streaming platform.
Being an adaptation, it had to make some changes. Some characters do not appear, others, like Jet in Omashu, see their narrative arc slightly modified. And as viewers wait to find out if there will be a season 2, one question arises: could bloodbending be present in the sequel?

Could blood control appear in future episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender?
Nothing has been confirmed yet – including season 2 of Avatar on Netflix – but removing the blood manipulation wouldn’t seem especially warranted for a sequel.
Blood manipulation appears in the series while Katara practices with a new teacher, Hama. The latter excels in water control, and even discovered a new trail after her imprisonment by the Fire Nation.
In addition to Water, she can therefore manipulate Blood. The technique allows him to make his target move as he wishes, turning his opponents into real puppets. The practice is prohibited in anime, in particular because it endangers the mental health of the user.
At this point, Netflix still hasn’t officially confirmed production of a season 2 for Avatar: The Last Airbender. We will therefore have to make do for the moment with the eight episodes, available on the streaming platform since February 22.
