Avengers 5 and Secret Wars: Four Massive Announcements

Attention Marvel fans, get ready – we’ve finally received major updates about the upcoming Avengers films…and it appears that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will undergo a significant transformation as a result.

If you have been keeping up with San Diego Comic-Con, you will be aware that the most highly anticipated panel is when Marvel presents in the prestigious Hall H.

This year, fans have been fortunate as four major revelations have emerged – all centered around Avengers 5 and Secret Wars.

The Russo Brothers, known for their work on Marvel films, will not only be directing both appearances of the Fantastic Four, but also the upcoming Avengers 5, officially titled Avengers: Doomsday. To add to the excitement, Robert Downey Jr will be playing a certain villain in the film.

For those unfamiliar with the MCU, the final point mentioned is of significant importance. Robert Downey Jr. has portrayed Iron Man since 2008 and his character is believed to have died in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. However, five years later, he will be taking on the role of one of Marvel’s most iconic supervillains, Doctor Doom.

Fans, as expected, have been going wild over the announcement, but it has also caused a divide in opinion.

One fan posted on X/Twitter, expressing their belief that the decision to involve the Russos and Robert Downey Jr. highlights the desperation of the situation.

Another individual concurred, stating, “I completely disagree. This idea is terrible. We should save Chris Evans and RDJ for Secret Wars and not overexpose them before the big comeback.”

“A third person joined in, stating that “the goat is back,”and a fourth fan enthusiastically exclaimed that they would definitely be attending the event.

Although the return of the Russos is not as surprising, it has still been uncertain how much the Fantastic Four will be integrated into the MCU. Production for their solo film, now titled The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is set to begin on July 30th.

Another fan commented that the rest of the ‘Avengers’ pale in comparison to them.

At the same time, the official announcement was made that Giancarlo Esposito will portray Sidewinder in Captain America 4. Additionally, Thunderbolts gave audiences a glimpse of its first trailer and hinted at the possible casting of Sentry.
