Control Remapping in Avowed
Players have the option to remap keyboard and mouse controls, which offers a degree of customization. Unfortunately, controller button remapping is not currently supported. This limitation is disappointing, and it remains to be seen if Obsidian will implement remapping options for gamepad users in the future.
Another noteworthy issue is the lack of accurate prompts for PlayStation controllers. This absence is particularly surprising, given that many other titles from PlayStation Studios’ catalog on PC typically offer in-game prompts compatible with various controllers.
While using Steam clearly helps mitigate any problems with controller input, players utilizing the Xbox App may face additional hurdles that might require third-party solutions such as DS4Windows to adjust settings for PlayStation controllers.
Once your controls are suitably configured, be sure to explore how to obtain Adra to upgrade your gear early in the game!
