On May 13th at midnight KST, B.I revealed a teaser poster announcing the upcoming release of his new single ‘Tasty.’
The poster radiates vibrant and joyful summer energy, with B.I prominently displayed. The song title, ‘Tasty’, written in a refreshing blue hue along with the release date, only adds to the excitement for B.I’s highly-anticipated track.
B.I’s latest release, ‘Tasty’, comes after a six-month hiatus following the release of his global EP, ‘Love or Loved Part.2’, in November of last year. Teaming up with renowned hitmaker Malibu Babie, known for their work with Nicki Minaj, their collaboration is highly anticipated.
Before the song’s official release, B.I will delight fans by showcasing his performance of ‘Tasty’ at the inaugural show of his ‘HYPE UP’ Asia tour in Seoul. Excitement is mounting among fans for B.I’s highly anticipated live rendition of ‘Tasty’.
B.I gained a lot of love since his debut as a member of iKON in 2015. However, in 2019, he was involved in allegations of buying marijuana and LSD between April and May 2016, and eventually using some of it.
After withdrawing from iKON and terminating his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment, B.I was sentenced to three years in prison in September 2021. However, the sentence was suspended for four years, and he was also ordered to complete 80 hours of community service, attend 40 hours of drug treatment lectures, and pay a fine of 1.5 million won, following a period of self-reflection.
In June of that year, while facing an investigation for drug charges, B.I released a solo album and selflessly donated all profits to both domestic and international vulnerable groups.
B.I’s upcoming single ‘Tasty’ is set to be released on May 20th on both domestic and international music streaming platforms.
