Baby Reindeer Fans Pitch Season 2 Concept

Despite not having any plans for a second season of Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd’s fans have suggested a “wild”concept for a potential continuation after the Fiona Harvey controversy.

Despite its global success when it debuted on Netflix in April, the focus of discussion surrounding Baby Reindeer has shifted in recent weeks. The woman accused of being Gadd’s real-life stalker has garnered attention after her appearance on Piers Morgan’s chat show, Uncensored.

According to reports, Harvey has announced her intentions to take legal action against Gadd and Netflix for their portrayal of Martha’s (Jessica Gunning) conviction. Additionally, she is reportedly seeking a payment of $1.25 million from Morgan.

Harvey has been accused of sending 276 abusive emails to UK Labour Party leader Keir Starmer in a span of eight months. Similar to Martha’s messages in Baby Reindeer, all of these emails were signed off with “Sent from my iPhone.”

Despite the ongoing controversy surrounding the Netflix series and Harvey’s public revelation, many fans are eager to see these topics explored in a potential second season.

Speaking on X/Twitter, an individual tweeted, “I’m not sure if Fiona Harvey realizes this, but if she does sue Richard Gadd, Baby Reindeer Season 2 will practically write itself.”

One commented, “Fiona Harvey, also known as Martha from Baby Reindeer, has been actively posting on Facebook for the past 24 hours… it feels like we’re watching Season 2 of #BabyReindeer unfold.”

On Reddit, another user contributed, “Season 2 is going to be incredibly meta.”A fourth commenter also joined in, envisioning a second season that delves into the legal repercussions and real-life consequences of a Baby Reindeer show being produced within the show, completing the circle of a Black Mirror-esque episode.

The post accusing Harvey of sending threatening emails to Starmer has also elicited similar reactions, with screenshots of messages in which he refers to Starmer as a “stupid little boy”and tells him, “Your life won’t be worth living.”

One person exclaimed, “Looks like Baby Reindeer Season 2 is on its way!”Meanwhile, another person tweeted, “@NetflixUK, could there possibly be a second season?”

A person who commented on the situation, including this person who humorously stated, “We are currently in the second installment of Baby Reindeer,” suggested that we are essentially living out the sequel.

Another individual added, “The unfolding of Baby Reindeer Season 2 in real time is making me feel sick to my stomach.”

Gadd has made it clear that he has no intentions to create a sequel to Baby Reindeer, which has been marketed as a limited series. Furthermore, he has expressed that he will not be providing any further statements regarding the true identities of the characters.

Gadd’s current focus is on a BBC series titled Lions, consisting of six parts, which delves into the dynamic between Niall and his estranged “brother”Ruben.
