Baby Reindeer has risen to become one of the top-viewed shows on Netflix, surpassing a fantasy series previously fronted by Henry Cavill.
Ever since Baby Reindeer was released, it has been on an impressive journey to stardom. Fans were captivated not only by its plot, but also by Richard Gadd’s incorporation of events from his personal life and the alleged stalker, Martha, in real life.
Baby Reindeer has achieved the feat of making it onto Netflix’s Top 10 list, joining other popular shows such as Tim Burton’s Wednesday and Stranger Things.
Despite only being on the platform for 91 days, Baby Reindeer has already garnered an impressive 84.5 million views, securing its place in the Top 10 list. This has resulted in The Witcher being pushed out of the Top 10 and Gadd’s series now ranks at the bottom with the same number of views in the same time frame.
Despite accumulating views much quicker within the first two months of its release, Baby Reindeer was surprisingly unable to overtake The Witcher’s spot with the same number of views. However, the series’ success is not unexpected as it was able to maintain fan interest and remain on Netflix’s Top 10 streaming list for several weeks.
Fans can rest assured that Baby Reindeer will not be overshadowed by The Witcher Season 4. In fact, The Witcher Season 3 had a total of 48 million views within its first eight weeks after its 2023 release.
Despite its progress, Baby Reindeer still has a significant amount of work ahead in order to secure a higher position.
To improve its rankings, Baby Reindeer must surpass Bridgerton Season 2, which garnered 93.8 million views due to its captivating enemies-to-lovers narrative featuring Kate and Anthony.
Gadd’s series has one more month left before the 91-day deadline to climb up the leaderboard and reach 10 million views, potentially securing the ninth spot or possibly even higher.
