Despite taking Netflix by storm and becoming one of the most-watched series, Baby Reindeer’s numbers are still unable to surpass Prime Video’s popular video game series.
Since its debut, Baby Reindeer has caused a frenzy among fans who are captivated by its dark storyline and the alleged real-life stalker who has been making headlines with lawsuits, interviews, and Facebook posts. The show is also on the fast track to becoming one of Netflix’s top 10 most successful series.
Despite this, its numbers still haven’t surpassed those of Fallout. The 2024 adaptation of the beloved video game accumulated 2.9 billion minutes of viewership in the United States during its initial five days, while it was released on Prime Video on April 10th, followed by Baby Reindeer on Netflix just a day later.
Since its premiere, Baby Reindeer has amassed a whopping 673 million minutes of viewership from April 15 to 21. While this is an impressive accomplishment for a Netflix original, it still has a ways to go before surpassing top contenders like Wednesday. Prime Video’s Fallout not only outperforms Baby Reindeer, but also other popular shows on various streaming platforms.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fallout has secured the highest position, surpassing Disney+’s Bluey, Netflix’s Unlocked: The Jail Experiment, 3 Body Problem, and The Gentlemen, as well as FX’s Shogun.
The Prime Video series has managed to capture the attention of both video game enthusiasts and newcomers alike. It revolves around a post-nuclear apocalyptic setting, where Lucy, a resident of Vault 33, bravely ventures out into the outside world after living her entire life in a secure underground facility.
Despite facing a wasteland filled with questionable characters, she remains determined to uncover the truth behind her seemingly perfect life and rescue her father.
Fallout Season 2 has been given the green light, and Baby Reindeer is now available for streaming on Netflix. Additionally, there are several other new TV series currently streaming this month for you to explore.
