Born in 2006, Asa is a Japanese national who has had a strong interest in dancing since a young age, particularly in hip hop. Along with Ruka, she became one of the first Japanese idols to debut in a YG Entertainment group. Asa and the six other members of BabyMonster gained widespread recognition through their participation in YG’s survival show, “Last Evaluation.”

In November 2023, BabyMonster made their debut with the release of their music video “Batter Up.” However, during this time, member Ahyeon (born in 2007) faced health issues, which prevented her from promoting with the group. In early April, Ahyeon returned and BabyMonster re-debuted with an album consisting of seven songs, including “Sheesh,” “Like That,” “Stuck in The Middle (7 Ver.),” and “Dream….” The title track, “Sheesh,” was described as a dance song that combined hip hop with a baroque-style piano melody. However, upon its release, “Sheesh” received significant criticism, resulting in poor performance on the charts.
