BABYMONSTER’s youngest member, Chiquita, has been receiving mixed responses for her recent airport outfit.

Chiquita, one of the Thai members of BABYMONSTER, is the youngest member of YG Entertainment’s new girl group. Born in 2009, she is often referred to as the “2009-liner.”As with any new group, BABYMONSTER has been compared to the popular group BLACKPINK, which has put pressure on the members to live up to their predecessors’ success.

Despite coming from different backgrounds, both Chiquita and BLACKPINK’s Lisa have a shared Thai heritage. This has resulted in heightened attention towards the 15-year-old idol’s fashion decisions, as seen in the mixed responses her airport outfit received online.

Just the other day, she was seen donning a mini pumpkin skirt along with an off-shoulder black top. She completed the look with high heels and black fishnet socks, perfectly complementing the ensemble.

Despite receiving praise from numerous netizens for her neat and stylish appearance, Chiquita and YG Entertainment’s stylist were also faced with criticism. Some expressed concern that, at only 15 years old, her fashion choices may have been slightly inappropriate for her age. Comments from netizens included,

During her airport visit in early June, Chiquita sported a coordinated ensemble consisting of a short skirt, a strapless top, and a stylish cardigan. The standout piece was a pink micro bag from Miu Miu, priced at around 42,500 Baht, which is currently unavailable on the brand’s website.

On a different occasion, she was spotted wearing an all-black ensemble. The celebrity donned a sheer long-sleeved black top paired with a black bralette underneath. She completed her look with a black miniskirt and black boots.

In May, Chiquita was once again spotted wearing a lacy tank top, which she paired with a skirt, belt, and jacket.

At the mere age of 15, Chiquita has already gained the nickname “Little Lisa”due to her radiant and confident presence on stage. Her playful and daring nature reflects that of Lisa’s, evident in her fashion sense which often features oversized hip-hop inspired attire.

Despite not being the first time that Chiquita has adopted a mature and alluring fashion sense, there are growing concerns about the appropriateness of her style for her age. As a result, there is a strong desire for YG Entertainment to dress her in more modest attire.
