For ‘Summer Sonic 2024’, BABYMONSTER gave a successful performance on the Mountain Stage at Chiba’s Zozo Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe in Japan on August 18th. This renowned music festival showcases not only popular local acts, but also a diverse lineup of talented international artists.
The venue was filled with excited fans who had come to watch BABYMONSTER perform. Social media was abuzz with reviews of their show, and their highly anticipated collaboration with TYLA, known for starting the viral ‘Water’ challenge, also received widespread attention. The challenge videos they created together only further showcased their immense global following.
Amidst the thunderous applause, BABYMONSTER confidently took the stage with their handheld mics, opening their set with a captivating rendition of ‘SheeSh!’. They proceeded to elevate the festival’s atmosphere with ‘Better Up,’ demonstrating their versatile talents with ‘Stuck in the Middle,’ and concluding with an electrifying performance of YG’s iconic summer anthem, ‘Forever.’
The members of the rookie group impressed with their flawless live performance and stage presence. They moved confidently around the stage, maintaining eye contact with the audience, solidifying their reputation as ‘monster rookies.’ This was further amplified by the audience’s enthusiastic sing-alongs, adding to the energetic atmosphere of the event.

On August 16th, BABYMONSTER released the Japanese version of their pre-debut song ‘Better Up.’ The song has been praised for its distinct YG hip-hop vibe and has gained popularity on several local music charts, garnering positive responses.
