On April 17th, a representative from Keyeast informed XportsNews that they currently do not hold an exclusive contract with Park Soo-jin. It should be noted that her contract with Keyeast was terminated some time ago due to her inactivity in the entertainment industry for several years.
Initially, Park Soo-jin joined the entertainment industry as a member of the group Suga in 2022. She later transitioned to acting after leaving the group. In 2015, she tied the knot with actor Bae Young-joon, who is 13 years her senior. The couple welcomed their first son in October 2016 and their second daughter in April 2018.
In 2016, Park Soo-jin, who was a part of Keyeast agency founded by Bae Young-joon, appeared on Olive channel for her final broadcasting activity.
In 2018, Park Soo-jin faced criticism for jumping the queue at the NICU of a hospital in Seoul while giving birth to her second child. As a result, she publicly apologized in a handwritten note, explaining that her child’s premature birth had caused her to make a mistake in judgment.
In 2020 and 2021, Park Soo-jin briefly shared her whereabouts on SNS but has not returned to the entertainment industry. She recently posted and deleted photos of her painted artwork in January of this year. However, she has not engaged with the public through online platforms since then.
In 2022, it was reported that Park Soo-jin had relocated to Hawaii with her family. According to sources, she spent the end of the previous year in Korea with her children before returning to Hawaii. Her husband, Bae Yong-joon, has not been active on social media since 2017. Speculation about his retirement arose when his official website expired in November 2022. The actor has not taken on any acting roles since his appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Dream High”in 2011.
Following the sale of its stakes to SM Entertainment in 2018 and the subsequent closure of Bae Yong-joon’s official website in 2022, there has been speculation among netizens that both Bae Yong-joon and Park Soo-jin may be planning to retire from the Korean entertainment industry altogether.
