The agency representing Baek Yerin, People Like People Co., Ltd (PLP), has responded to the recent allegations of plagiarism concerning Ha Sungwoon’s soundtrack for the K-drama “Love Next Door.”

In a statement shared on Instagram, PLP addressed the resemblances between Baek Yerin’s track “0310”and Ha Sungwoon’s song “What Are We.”The agency began by expressing regret to Ha Sungwoon and his supporters for any distress caused by the ongoing dispute. Furthermore, they conveyed apologies to fans of Baek Yerin as well.

Following Baek Yerin’s public acknowledgment of the OST on her Instagram Stories, the agency highlighted various elements, including the song’s overall arrangement, chord sequences, and the differing criteria used to assess plagiarism.

Moreover, they announced that both compositions will undergo an evaluation by music professionals. The agency clarified that the matter pertains strictly to the composition itself and is not a reflection on Ha Sungwoon, who merely provided his vocals for the piece.

The agency urged fans to avoid bringing other artists into the conversation to minimize unnecessary conflicts, especially given the influx of messages directed at both artists across social media platforms. They are also anticipating an official statement and apology from the OST’s composer through direct channels.
