On June 14th, Baekhyun, a member of EXO, arrived at Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport for his Asian concert tour in Bangkok titled ‘Lonsdaleite’.
On the 10th, IBN100, the agency of EXO-CBX (Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin), held an emergency press conference to address their lawsuit against SM Entertainment. CBX’s representatives argued that SM had not followed the agreed upon 5.5% music distribution commission rate from June of last year. They contended that it was unjust for SM to request 10% of individual artist sales. In response, SM filed a lawsuit against CBX in the Seoul Eastern District Court, stating that the exclusive contracts between the two parties were still valid and should be enforced.
Despite the recent controversies surrounding his company, Baekhyun’s fans showed their unwavering support by flocking to the airport to see him off for his first overseas schedule since the press conference. Chanting words of encouragement and love, the fans followed the male idol as he made his way inside, causing the airport to become even more crowded.
Despite the large crowds at the airport, Baekhyun confidently made his way through the departure hall in a simple black t-shirt and checkered wide pants.
Despite Baekhyun’s ongoing solo Asian concert tour in Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, and other countries, there is uncertainty surrounding EXO’s planned winter comeback in the second half of this year. This is due to CBX’s determination to continue their legal battle with SM, making it unclear if the comeback will proceed as scheduled.
