As My Hero Academia reaches its final battle, many are speculating about the role that some members of the main cast will play. Katsuki Bakugo and Ochaco Uraraka, in particular, are being closely watched as they are not currently involved in the confrontation, but it seems likely that they will become involved in some way. There is a high possibility that the manga will come to an end this year, adding to the anticipation surrounding their potential involvement.
Shoto Todoroki, one of Deku’s friends in the My Hero Academia manga, also had his own subplot and has now joined in the fight against All For One after facing off against Dabi. It is reasonable to assume that Uraraka and Bakugo, who have each dealt with Himiko Toga and the original form of All For One, will also play important roles in the final battle of the series.
This article includes spoilers for the series.
Explaining the Involvement of Urakaka and Bakugo in the Final Battle of My Hero Academia
Shoto Todoroki’s arrival with Endeavor to attack All For One in chapter 421 of the manga foreshadows the involvement of Bakugo and Uraraka in the upcoming final battle. As Shoto has his own subplot involving his brother Dabi and a personal battle, it is likely that Bakugo and Uraraka, who have similar roles and close relationships with Deku, will also play a significant role in the battle.
Additionally, it would be an unusual choice for author Kohei Horikoshi to exclude Uraraka and Bakugo from the final battle, considering that most of Deku’s classmates are involved. Bakugo, as Deku’s rival, and Uraraka, his first friend at UA, hold significant importance in the story and have a greater relevance than many other characters currently facing All For One.
The 2021 illustration by Horikoshi, depicting Deku falling from the sky and being saved by Uraraka, is a concept that the author has expressed a desire to incorporate into the manga. It seems unlikely that Bakugo would not assist Deku in his ultimate battle, as it would go against their established relationship.
The Character Arcs of Bakugo and Uraraka
It can be argued that, in the current point of the My Hero Academia manga, the character development of Bakugo and Uraraka has reached its peak in the series. Both characters have undergone significant growth and their individual storylines have culminated in Bakugo’s confrontation with All For One and Uraraka’s battle against Himiko Toga. However, it is likely that they will face one final challenge against the antagonist before the story concludes.
Despite only briefly interacting during their battle in the Sports Festival arc, Bakugo and Uraraka share a strong connection with Deku. Bakugo, once Deku’s bully, has now become his rival and friend, while Uraraka was his first friend at UA and may potentially develop into his love interest by the end of the story.
Final Thoughts
It is highly probable that the upcoming chapters of My Hero Academia will showcase Bakugo and Uraraka joining the ongoing battle. This aligns with their character development and relationships with Deku, making it a sensible choice.
