Baldur’s Gate 3 Dataminer Uncovers Extra Shadowheart Hugs & Lost Dialogue

A content creator on YouTube discovered previously hidden content in Baldur’s Gate 3, featuring additional reactions from Tav and the game’s Origin characters. The footage also includes intriguing scenes that will interest Shadowheart and Minthara fans.

According to developer comments and data mines, it has been revealed that Baldur’s Gate 3 is a massive game with a great deal of unreleased content. This hidden content, often marked with “IMPOSSIBLE”flags, remains inaccessible to players.

In a 15-minute video, YouTuber SlimX revealed some recently unearthed cut content that showcases fully voiced character interactions that cannot currently be accessed during gameplay.

The scenes include Origin character and avatar reactions to their first entry into the Underdark from the Grymforge, additional narrator lines that applaud the player’s bravery following the final battle, and companions’ responses to Gale’s contemplation by the river at the conclusion of the game.

Additionally, there is a planned interaction with Minthara that takes place when the player renders the drow Paladin unconscious in order to recruit her at a later time. During this interaction, Minthara questions the player as to why they decided to spare her life despite her being an adversary at the moment.

Initial plans for Patch 7, set to launch in September, mention that “Minthara will now respond if players knock her out during Act I.” Given that various Minthara-related glitches have been reported by players since the addition of this alternative method to recruit her in Patch 5, it is likely that this sequence was intended to be available earlier.

Although there are many intriguing moments, the ones related to Shadowheart are particularly interesting.

Initially, there is an additional conversation where she talks about her transformation – assuming you were able to convince her to spare the Nightsong and reject Shar. During this conversation, she reveals that her makeover was intended to symbolize her disassociation from Shar. Additionally, if prompted, she reveals that her training in deception allowed her to dye her own hair.

Additionally, for those who wish to show Shadowheart the love she is worthy of, there are also two exclusive opportunities for hugs with the beloved princess of god that occur after the Nightsong event.

The reason for cutting these scenes is unclear. However, since they do not affect or contradict the plot of Baldur’s Gate 3, it is likely that they will be reintroduced in a future update.
