The Baldur’s Gate 3 community was expecting a new patch today. Instead, she got some teasing from the developers.

The Baldur’s Gate 3 fanbase has been eagerly awaiting the release of the game’s next big update, Patch 6, since its announcement.

Due to the emphasis on adding romance in the patch’s marketing, many assumed the patch would release on Valentine’s Day.

However, this was not the case, and instead the developers treated players to a healthy dose of teases, leaving them in pieces.

Naturally, Baldur’s Gate 3 fans are baffled by this news, mainly because they can’t help but respect it.

“Whoever runs the social media accounts for Larian knows EXACTLY what they are doing. They know exactly which buttons to press to keep millions of eyes on them. They know how to use company goodwill in a fun and funny way.»

Many have commented on how much they hate and love this tease from the development team at the same time.

Others point out that the Valentine’s Day release date was just a guess and was never officially confirmed by the developers.

“This is what happens when the community clings to a release date that was never announced. Larian’s communications team does a good job here.»

The fact that the patch didn’t release today is certainly a disappointment to many Baldur’s Gate 3 fans, but it’s clear that the developers haven’t lost the goodwill of their player base.
