Baldur’s Gate 3 Funko Pop Figures Miss Major Character, Voice Actor Expresses Displeasure

Exciting news for fans of Baldur’s Gate 3, as beloved characters are being turned into Funko Pops. However, the absence of Lae’zel has left the voice actress of the character, Devora Wilde, feeling a bit overlooked.

The ensemble cast of Baldur’s Gate 3 is hailed as one of the most striking in gaming, showcasing a vibrant array of Origin Characters that have captured players’ hearts. Naturally, certain characters have emerged as fan favorites.

Statistically, Astarion stands out as the most popular, boasting a vast amount of fan fiction dedicated to him, which can be attributed to Neil Newbon’s award-winning performance.

Statistics released by Larian indicate that Astarion leads in various popularity measures, hence his selection alongside Karlach and Shadowheart as the initial Funko Pop figures. While excitement bubbles among fans eager to see their cherished characters take on a figurine form, Devora Wilde is left questioning the decision to exclude Lae’zel.

The unveiling of Funko Pops for Karlach, Shadowheart, and two variations of Astarion led Wilde to express, “No hot green girlfriend?” . She isn’t alone in her confusion—many fans have shared their disappointment over certain key characters missing from the Funko selection.

“No Lae’zel and no Wyll yet two Astarions? It’s not fair,” one fan voiced. Another chimed in, “Give me Lae’zel and Minthara or give me death.” It’s evident that supporters of Lae’zel, the fierce Gith fighter, are banding together.

Currently, Wyll, Gale, and Lae’zel are notably absent from the Funko Pop line despite their status as Origin Characters. Some fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 have even proposed a boycott of the merchandise until Lae’zel is included.

On a brighter note, Funko Pops generally roll out in groups, and considering the immense popularity of Baldur’s Gate 3, there’s a strong likelihood that more characters will be introduced in the future. The real question may not be if Lae’zel will join the lineup, but rather when that will occur?
