Baldur’s Gate 3 Glitch Creates “Terrifying” Gale and Halsin Hybrid

“Fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 who were disappointed by the inability to date both Gale and Halsin at the same time can now have the best of both worlds thanks to a glitch that combines the Wizard and Druid into one character.”

Despite Baldur’s Gate 3 being renowned for its steamy romance scenes, the game offers limited opportunities to pursue multiple characters simultaneously. While Halsin is open to any romantic pursuits, the Wizard of Waterdeep, Gale, does not allow you to pursue a romance with him while also being involved with Halsin.

A user on the BG3 Reddit discovered a glitch that allows players to transfer Gale’s mind into Halsin’s body. This occurred after Halsin was freed from the cage, but before the leaders of the Goblin Camp were defeated, resulting in the appearance of Gale and the Druid merging after their initial encounter.

“One user reassured, “Galsin is just a fictional character, he cannot harm you.”Another user explained, “The issue is not a glitch, it simply occurred because they mistakenly swapped clothes while hooking up in the dark.”

One user expressed their morbid fascination with the cursed situation and asked if Gale replaces Halsin, to which the OP responded by confirming that there is also a normal Halsin available for the player to interact with, resulting in the player having two Halsins to play with.

It appears that this is a recurring problem, potentially due to Halsin being added late in the development process. The Act 2 characters are notorious for causing issues with the game. “I also experienced this, except it was my Tav instead of Gale,”another user commented. “It’s so strange.”

Despite its reputation for bugs, Baldur’s Gate 3 fans have been understanding of the game’s enormous scope. Halsin’s unintentional wardrobe and personality theft from Gale may have been a humorous mistake, reminiscent of the shark in Toy Story that takes Woody’s hat.
