The modders of Baldur’s Gate 3 have incorporated D&D’s most notorious and damaging homemade spell. Are players capable of controlling its immense force?
One of the most enjoyable aspects of Dungeons & Dragons is its ability to inspire players to create their own customizations for the game, known as homebrew. Similarly, for those playing Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC, mods serve as the game’s equivalent to this process.
Thankfully, console players can look forward to the arrival of mods. This will allow for the addition of new races, the exploration of forbidden romances, and even equipping Astarion with a firearm. However, whether or not players will be able to handle the latest Baldur’s Gate 3 mod remains to be seen.
NexusMods user Estgamers has introduced the infamous fan-made spell, Testicular Torsion, to Baldur’s Gate 3. This powerful spell, inspired by D&D, grants players nightmarish abilities.
Testicular Torsion, also known as testicular twisting, refers to a medical condition in which the male reproductive organs become entangled. This topic has gained notoriety within the Dungeons and Dragons community, and multiple versions of the spell have been shared on the DnDHomebrew Subreddit for some time now.
Fans of D&D who play Baldur’s Gate 3 often make references to a particular spell in their fan art and discussions about the game. Some have even searched for similar spells that could serve the same function, as seen in this discussion. Fortunately, their wishes have now been granted.
The latest update for Baldur’s Gate 3 by Estgamers introduces a new feature that enables players to manipulate their enemies’ attacks and inflict 1d4 of Force damage. However, this ability can only be used by characters who are playing as a Bard, Cleric, Sorcerer, or Wizard. As the player progresses and levels up, the damage inflicted will also increase.
It is a given that the intended targets of this malicious attack must be male for the spell to have any impact. Female adversaries and those who pass a Constitution saving throw will not be affected.
We can only imagine the intense Baldur’s Gate 3 builds that may emerge now that this ominous force has been released.
