Baldur’s Gate 3’s highly anticipated Patch 7, which introduces new evil endings and official mod support, now has a release window. However, it is not yet available for all players to experience.
Larian has been building excitement for Baldur’s Gate 3’s Patch 7 by revealing details to fans and teasing new evil endings. The long-awaited update finally has a release window of next week, as confirmed by Swen Vincke during a panel at PAX West.
Although this news is undoubtedly exciting, there is a catch. The upcoming Patch 7, set to release next week, will only be available for PC. Swen has assured console players that they will eventually be able to access all the new content from the patch after undergoing several processes.
“He mentioned that they will be focusing heavily on the modding community who has been assisting them with the mods that are officially supported.”

The boss of Baldur’s Gate 3 then clarified that the team’s objective is to achieve cross-platform modding support, a challenging feat as it needs to function seamlessly on both PC and console.
“First, we will release the PC version. The console version will come at a later time as it must go through various submission processes. This will also allow us to address any issues that may arise and make necessary improvements in order to have it ready for the console release.”
Despite the lack of a specific release date for Patch 7, there are already numerous exciting additions for players to anticipate. In addition to the inclusion of evil endings, we can expect the highly anticipated official mod support, improvements to quality of life, and a variety of bug fixes in this patch.
Additionally, the romance dialogues and scenes will undergo revisions. Moreover, those interested in beginning a co-op playthrough can take advantage of the enhanced Dynamic Split Screen feature, resulting in a seamless and hassle-free multiplayer experience.
