Baldur’s Gate 3 often offers players unique ways to fight enemies and complete quests. However, one player used a Burning Hands Scroll in the most unique way possible during an Honor Mode game.
Honor Mode is a special difficulty level in Baldur’s Gate 3. Indeed, you only have one chance to complete the game. If you fail, you will have to start from the beginning. It’s a challenge that requires a lot of preparation and experimentation.
It turns out that a player was participating in an Honor mode game with his friends. Their group was about to be eliminated, and one of their friends decided to throw a Burning Hands Scroll at the enemy. And the result was incredible.

On Reddit, he explained his mishap. “So, I’m trying a game of Honor Mode with some friends (our second attempt after a poorly planned encounter with an Owlbear ended our first game). We’re in the middle of an incredibly tense fight with the paladins stalking Karlach. We entered level 3, the leader instantly takes down two of our characters (uh oh)” .
They finally concluded: “He comes back, no longer has any spell slots, luckily I find a Burning Hands scroll for him to use, and he THROWS THE SCROLL at the paladin. Fortunately, a stroke of luck knocked down the big guy, and we were able to finish off the other two.”

The post received a lot of attention from players. One user commented: “Looks like something my INT 8 wizard would do.”Another user added: “This looks so painful lol. Take a priest in your party, when you’re down, heal up, then stay safe.”
A player also said: “If you can take Anders’ sword, the fight is easy. Heat the metal, order, disarming strike, whatever you can do to take that sword and the little trio is defenseless. “. Finally, a player shared another tip. “If you throw a healing potion on the ground near your party, they will be healed by area damage.”
We can therefore say that even if the act was heroic, the players decided to share simpler tips. Losing in Honor Mode in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be painful, so it’s always worth being prepared.
